Kids Comp Training On Sunday 15th May, New School BJJ held a competition training session for the kids. Unlike a regular session, there was no focus on drilling techniques. After a warm up, they were given a brief explanation of the points system. After this, the kids were put into groups to do a few rounds of round robin sparring, whereby one opponent stays on for two rounds. This led into specific sparring from side control, encouraging the kids to apply their skills in escaping from this position. Battersea Adult Classes Are Back!!

The return of adult classes to Battersea!! Hey Guys, after waiting patiently for over a year, we are finally going to be able to train at our Battersea Sports Centre dojo!!! As of Monday the 19th July, classes will resume at the dojo, offering both Gi and No-Gi training sessions! The Battersea Sports Centre dojo is like the HQ dojo of New School BJJ and, before the COVID-19 pandemic, offered both lunchtime and evening BJJ Gi and No-Gi classes and a very popular Friday lunchtime Open Mat session. Kids are back at Battersea 2

Kids are back at Battersea!! Wednesday 19th May, saw the return of our Kids sessions, back in the dojo at Battersea Sports Centre! This marked the return of our twice weekly Cubs and Junior sessions, which run on Wednesdays and Saturdays and it was great to see our kids back in the Battersea dojo! It was also great to see some new faces join in on the sessions!!! The kids were taken through the usual warm up of jogging, performing rolls and breakfalling.
